FROM THE AUTHOR

Dr. Cornelius Schnauber
Professor and Director
MAX-KADE INSTITUTE OF AUSTRIAN-GERMAN-SWISS STUDIES, USC

"Sharon Edrei recently performed in my play 'Wagner and Mendelssohn, Music and Women' in the role of Carlotta Grimaldi, the mystery woman who appears to Richard Wagner in the last hour of his life. She played this very complex role with such great intensity, intelligence and sensuality that it was breathtaking. I have worked for many decades as director, producer, consultant and coach with the leading actors and opera singers of our time (among them, Placido Domingo, Anthony Hopkins, and Maximillian Schell) and I believe she's in that class."
